Pestabola Merdeka ASIC25 Concept Visual Identity for Grassroots Football Ecosystem
Concept work by SRVNT Creative Network. Celebrating community football, nostalgia and family culture through design.
Project Overview

ASIC25: Pestabola Merdeka reimagines grassroots football as a community carnival — where families, schools, and local supporters come together beyond the game.
Developed as a concept project by SRVNT Creative Network, this work explored how design can make local tournaments feel memorable, collectible, and proudly Malaysia.

The Challenge

Grassroots tournaments are full of spirit — but often lack the design consistency and brand storytelling that make events feel credible and lasting. Most school carnivals have great energy but fragmented visuals, inconsistent communication, and no post-event keepsake for families.
The result: a great weekend that fades quickly, instead of a brand that lives in memory.

The Approach

SCN approached the brief as both designers and football lovers, building a concept system that could evolve into a long-term ecosystem identity.
Our direction combined:
– Retro 70s football visuals — bold blocks, stripes, timeless geometry
– Anime & Blue Lock–inspired energy — motion, character, emotion
– Community-driven narrative — proud parents, young players, shared belonging
The challenge was to design visuals that were fun for kids, nostalgic for parents, and functional for organizers.

Value Beyond The Pitch

The project visualized how design can become a tool for ecosystem building, giving structure and emotional value to what’s often overlooked in grassroots sport. By introducing a coherent identity and merchandise strategy, Pestabola Merdeka ASIC25 shows how design can help schools attract sponsors, engage parents, and inspire players, building a shared culture of pride and participation.

This concept sits close to heart for SCN, born out of our ongoing work in youth football.
It reminds us that the smallest tournaments can hold the biggest stories — and that with thoughtful design, even a school field can feel like a stadium of dreams.
